Following the success of last year’s Reach for the Sky Yakiniku dining experience, Beaverbrook has announced the return of its stationary hot air balloons in The Italian Garden at The House. This year, sporting a Great British makeover, six Union Flag-themed hot air balloons will frame the side of the stunning property for alfresco Japanese dining with a twist.
Grounded within Beaverbrook hotel’s magnificent gardens, each balloon will seat up to four and offers guests the rare chance to savour authentic Japanese cuisine in the extraordinary settings of a classic hot air balloon basket. This year Beaverbrook has made a slight change to the style of the balloon dining menu, meaning there’s something for everyone this summer.
A bespoke, interactive Japanese menu will be served with a generous portion of estate views. Life Writer Laura Nightingale tried it out last summer and you can see from the video above just how magical it is.

Diners will start their journey with a glass of cedar and Douglas fir-infused sake before tucking into starter courses of freshly foraged produce as well as native lobster presented in a Spitfire branded taco. For the main event, guests will use a lava hot stone to sear the finest cuts to their taste and season with condiments handcrafted on the estate.
Beaverbrook is a super luxurious hotel and spa located in Leatherhead in the Surrey Hills. It is rich in history and offers phenomenal countryside views.
