Mother and son convicted of murdering man in Griffin hotel room

A Spalding County jury has convicted a mother and son of murdering a male within a lodge room in 2020.

In accordance to Griffin District Legal professional Marie Broder’s office, Sonya Fuller, 45, and her son, 30-calendar year-old Joshua Fuller, were being convicted on various expenses, like murder for their involvement in a man’s dying.

Prosecutors say that on August 31, 2020, Sonya Fuller named her son to her lodge area at the High quality Inn and Suites in Griffin. When he arrived, 52-12 months-previous Anthony Pink was in his mother’s hotel home. Joshua Fuller pointed a gun at Purple and shot and killed him.

Right after the murder, the pair, along with others, hid evidence and lied to law enforcement.

Sonya Fuller was billed as a bash to her son’s crimes.

The jury convicted Joshua Fuller of felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He had a prior conviction of aggravated assault for capturing into a property.

Sonya Fuller was convicted of felony murder, aggravated assault and hindering the apprehension of a legal.

Equally have been sentenced to existence in prison without the need of the possibility of parole. They each continue being in the Spalding County Jail.
