Twin brother of man gunned down in lobby of Clevelander hotel speaks to Local 10

MIAMI Seashore, Fla. – We’re now listening to from the family of a gentleman who was shot and killed at the Clevelander Hotel on South Seashore.

The capturing transpired on Friday as Dion Moore, 50, was doing work at the lodge.

His twin brother spoke with Nearby 10 Information reporter Rosh Lowe on Monday.

“I reported, ‘Did Dion put up a battle?’ My brother’s a fighter,” Derrick Moore reported.

According to a law enforcement report, Brandon Kortez Burris, 29, shot Dion Moore, all simply because Moore did not allow him to sneak into a nightclub.

“You ended up a hero. My hero,” Derrick Moore reported as a result of tears. “I know that you were carrying out your career, but I wish you did not do it so properly. And I wish I would have gotten there and I would have prevented this from taking place.”

In accordance to authorities, Burris attempted to sneak into the Clevelander’s nightclub through the entrance foyer right after a number of unsuccessful attempts to get in and was approached by Dion Moore, who was assigned to function the entrance desk.

The report stated Moore requested Burris to go away, which led to an argument.

Burris then threw a punch at Moore and skipped, law enforcement said. The report reported just after Moore walked away, Burris pulled out a pistol from his waistband and shot Moore far more than 6 situations.

Burris ran absent, but officers arrested him a couple of blocks away from the resort and found he was in possession of a handgun without the need of a magazine, according to Miami Beach law enforcement Detective Ernesto Rodriguez.

This is the second fatal capturing in two times on Miami Seashore.

Dion Moore is survived by his twin brother, two daughters, a son and a granddaughter.

Moore reported a vigil is becoming held on Thursday to honor his brother’s lifetime.
